If you see photos that look similar in Google Photos, they may be very similar or different sizes. You can use Google Files to find duplicate files (including photos) on your Android phone. Open the app and click the Clean icon at the bottom of the toolbar. Find duplicates on iOS
On the iPhone, we expect most people to use the default iOS Photos app. If you use Google Photos, what we said earlier still applies: duplicate images cannot be uploaded to the Internet, even if you somehow save the duplicate images to your iPhone's local storage.
When you open Apple Photos on your iPhone, make sure it's on your device by clicking Albums in the bottom toolbar, then scroll down to the Multiple section . Click the Merge button next to duplicate pairs to remove the extra copy.
