Google is working hard to make its new Gemini app for Android, which is supposed to replace Assistant, available to the public. The company had not previously issued any updates regarding the launch of the app in Europe, but that all changed over the weekend.
According to Jack Krawczyk, Gemini product lead at Google, the mobile app will launch on Monday in Latin America, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Canada. Krawczyk also confirmed that the company plans to bring it to Europe as soon as possible. But if you can't wait, you can actually download Gemini in many of these areas

I was able to download Gemini on my Pixel 8 Pro in India and it works properly. I can bring it up by long pressing the power button or using the wake word “Hey Google”. However, you still cannot officially download Gemini from the Google Play Store in India.
Several other European countries have now reported that they can access the Gemini app for Android. A user from Germany was able to download it and run it in English. The APK also works for users in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Poland, Canada and some other countries. However, some people are still unable to get voice feedback to work in the app. This wasn't an issue in our case, but we did see reports of users having to tap the speaker icon to get audio output.
So, you can wait a bit until Google officially launches the Gemini app in your region, or if you want to test it now, you can test your luck by installing the APK. However, you won't have to wait long for the Gemini app to become available on your Android devices.
