Vivo X100 Pro Review
Introduction
Another year, another Vivo flagship with impressive camera setup, premium display and high-end optional chipset – X100 Pro has just gone global. With triple 50-megapixel cameras, a 3,000 nit peak brightness display and a multi-core Dimension SoC, the company's latest and greatest X series looks exciting, and we've got what you need.
The camera system has a 1-inch sensor, which Vivo lists as 1/0.98 A periscope telephoto lens brings optical zoom to 4.3x, and an ultra-wide-angle autofocus completes the opposite end of the triple setup.
The screen retains the previous generation's 6.78-inch diagonal and the resolution doesn't change either, but Vivo bumps the brightness up to 3000 nits; We will see.
The other big news is the Dimension 9300 chip: now the smaller cores are also bigger cores, and the biggest cores are four times larger than what you'll find in the latest Snapdragon. It won't be four times as strong, I'm sure, but how can you really compare?
Another notable advancement this time around is the increase in battery capacity: the X100 Pro comes with a 5,400 mAh power brick in a sea of competitors with 5,000 mAh or less. Will MediaTek keep up with this beast of a chip or will we break endurance records?
Before we start answering this burning question, an overview of the key features.
