Considering the source material, including this spin-off may be a no-brainer, but Minecraft Dungeons actually feels more like isometric scanners like Diablo and Gauntlet than its open-world cousins. In the meantime, fans should enjoy the many Minecraft references and adorable blocky visuals, not to mention the combat and item collecting.
Although this is a rather primitive and mechanically rudimentary technique, the trick is enough to attract players. The base game is a bit short (five to six hours), but Minecraft Dungeons keeps players coming back with a great magic system, rewarding progression, and huge dungeons full of enemies. It doesn't hurt that the numerous DLC packs and the challenging Apocalypse mode add even more to the mix.
