Y20 Summit Concludes In Kashi
The four-day G20 Youth Summit concluded successfully on Sunday at the Rudraksh International Conference and Cooperation Center (RICCC). More than 100 young people from G20 countries, invited countries and international organizations participated in the discussion of the draft G20 Youth Statement. In particular, they engaged in discussions and conversations on five specific topics for young twenty-somethings, including the future of business; peace building and reconciliation; climate change and disaster risk reduction; Shared future, health, well-being and sport.
Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of Youth and Sports Anurag Thakur also attended the official opening of the G20 Youth Summit on the second day. It was an important event that provided youth with a platform for open discussions, ideas and interactive sessions to address the challenges facing youth and set a roadmap for global youth development.
India presided over the G20 for one year from December 1, 2022 to November 30 this year. Under the guidance of the G20 Youth Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Government of India organized the G20 Youth Summit in this sacred city, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the final day, Pankaj Kumar Singh, Director, Youth Department, Ministry of Youth and Sports; Rajalingam, District Magistrate (Varanasi); Prashant Kakkar (IIS), M&CO, PIB; Anmol Sowet, President, Youth Twenty Network; Y20 India Delegation Leader Valit Segarya and Y20 India Summit President Lakshit Mittal addressed the media at a press conference on the last day of the Y20 summit.
According to them, several events have been organized under the G20 Presidency, including the closing of the curtain on the G20 Youth in New Delhi, the inaugural meeting in Guwahati, prior to the Leh (Ladakh) Youth G20 Summit, and the 14th G20 Consultation. Universities are different. in countries and 50 brainstorming sessions for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Research and Information System (RIS) for developing countries. The G20 Youth has set new milestones for the world within the overall framework of the G20 under India's presidency. At the summit, the G20 Youth Statement was discussed, approved and then successfully signed with global consensus.
They stated that the main recommendations contained in the statement are to expand opportunities for continuous learning; Develop a global problem-solving workforce; promoting international research collaboration; Promote the global rights of the self-employed and provide sustainable and affordable financing and advice.
Sharad Vivek Sagar, Anmol Sovet, Patikrit Payne, Valit Sekarya and Aditi Narayani Paswan were present at the plenary on the last day of the session. The G20 Statement 2023 was issued by a troika of countries, including the G20 President from India, the representative of the Organizing Committee of Indonesia, and the representative of the Organizing Committee of Brazil. The flag was officially handed over by the President of Y20 India to the head of the Brazilian delegation.
The heads of delegations signed the conclusion of the G20 Media Summit, bringing to an end the various discussions that had taken place in recent months. It is a testament to the collective, overarching vision of the five identified G20 Youth themes, which will ensure that young people's voices are heard on a global platform.
During the four-day summit, the delegates visited Sarnath, the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Gang Ghats on a river cruise. India's rich art, culture and heritage impressed delegates from all over the world. the rich and colorful cultural heritage of the holy city of Varanasi; Its spirituality, literature, art and music also impressed representatives of the G20 countries, visiting countries and international organizations.
