Xiaomis Redmi Note 12 Series Will Bring 200MP Photography To The Midrange

The new standard for smartphone photography calls for a 200-megapixel main camera sensor. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will go on sale in South Africa on May 17 alongside the rest of the Note 12 series, bringing this sensor to the masses.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is a stunning entry into the mid-range market and offers the specs and features you'd expect from a phone you'd buy elsewhere. Among them is the large sensor of the main camera, but there is more to like.

Go big or go home

Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus Thanks to Xiaomi's commitment to making high-end technology affordable, the Pro+ phone has led to offering users a bright 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR+ support and 900 nits of brightness. 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage round out the rest of the specs, and most importantly the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor that keeps everything running.

But that's not the main event. Honor goes for the rear camera with a large 200 MP main camera sensor. Photos will be sharper than you can imagine, videos will be more detailed and your online content will be as clean as your amazing photography skills.

At the back is a massive 5000 mAh battery, including Xiaomi's 120 W Hypercharge technology. If you have a few minutes to start shooting, this is what you need. It will fill enough to go through the tank in a few minutes and fully charge in nineteen minutes. Fast enough to qualify as a "go".

More than a Redmi Note 12

Redmi Note 12 Pro Two older satellites will also be launched soon. The standard Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 are worth considering.

The Note 12 Pro shares the same specs as the Plus model: the same processor, display and RAM options, but a lower memory allocation is possible. The cameras are still handled by a large 108-megapixel main sensor, and the 5,000mAh battery is backed up by a 67W charger that will charge your phone almost before you put it down.

The Note 12, on the other hand, reduces the power of the charger to 33W, but has the same battery. The 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display remains on the front, but this time it's powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. The rear camera sensor has a 50 megapixel sensor as focus and supports great shots on a budget.

As an added bonus, each of these devices is IP53 rated. Dust should not bother you at all, and splashes are no longer a concern.

Wait and see

It remains to be seen when Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 12 series in South Africa. Expect this trio of solid mid-range beasts to come and change the way you and your followers view your social media feeds.
