Overview
The third son of Elon Musk and Grimes, Techno Mechanicus, Tau for short, is the third child of singer Grimes and Elon Musk, who has not yet been revealed, after X Æ A-12 and Exa Dark Sideræl Musk. The baby appeared in Walter Isaacson's biography, specifically days after Grimes tweeted Isaacson to talk to Musk and convince him to "see the baby."
Background:
On September 6, 2023, Walter Isaacson posted photos to promote an upcoming biography of Elon Musk. A photo of Musk with Neuralink CEO Shivon Gillis with his twins. The children were conceived using his sperm donation while Musk was expecting his second child with Grimes.
The same day, Grimes asked Walter Isaacson (the author of Elon Musk's biography) on Twitter: “Tell Sivan not to block me and let me see my son or answer my lawyer. So far I have been allowed to see one of these children. photos even though this situation completely destroyed my family. The tweet has since been deleted, but was reshared on Reddit's /r/Grimes page by user Pale_Ad_1295 the same day.

On September 10, 2023, The New York Times reported that Isaacson's biography indicated that Musk and Grimes had a third child, named Techno Mechanicus. According to the biography, the child was born in mid-2022 and goes by the nickname "Tau." In the book, Grimes says of Tau: “Tau is amazing. He came out with eyes that looked deep into your soul. He looked like Spock. He was Vulcan, that's for sure."
Later that day, Grimes released a statement regarding the news, explaining her previous tweet. The tweet shows him mixing things up with Gillis (pictured below).

Social media users have reacted to another unusual name of the child Grimes-Mask. Specifically, Warhammer's community of 40,000 "Techno Mechanicus" joked about the name, suggesting that the Warhammer organization "Adeptus Mechanicus" or "Tau" might refer to an alien race called the "Tau Empire".
