Samsung is set to launch its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 foldable smartphone on July 26 in Seoul, South Korea. If the rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is going to be a huge hit thanks to its large external display. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has been suggested as an optional upgrade. But the unsealed one will be larger than the collapsible trigger. In addition to these two flagship products, Samsung is said to be launching the next generation of the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Tab S series, namely the Watch 6 and Tab S9, respectively. Here's what you can expect from the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 July 2023.
Samsung galaxy z flip 5
I'm so excited about the big update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. For four generations, the flip cover has been equipped with a small screen protector that allows you to see certain devices and information at a glance.
On the other hand, Motorola is leading the clamshell game with the Razer Plus, which has a 3.6-inch clamshell display that lets you launch any app without unlocking your phone. I'm currently using a Razr Plus and it's amazing how Motorola makes the cover screen so interesting.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is said to have a 3.4-inch screen. I hope the Flip 5 has some tricks to stand out in this segment, as Samsung is close to Google and has a user interface that is an intuitive user experience.
Inside, it may feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is expected to remain the same as its predecessor. However, the next big improvement is expected in the foldable design. Ross Yang tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a new hinge design to reduce wrinkles on the inner screen.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 can be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. I expect it to deliver better battery performance than the Flip 4, as the flagship chipset excels in battery life this year. From Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to Xiaomi 13 Pro and iQOO 11, the SoC never disappoints.
There wasn't a major leak on the optics front, but it is believed that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get a camera upgrade. It may have a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP wide sensor. But there is nothing concrete about this yet.
I wish Samsung offered faster charging on the Flip 5. For reference, the Flip 4 supports 25W fast wired charging and remains the same on the Flip 5. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to start at the same price of $999. face 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Foldable 5
Don't expect a redesign with the Galaxy Z Fold 5. It may have some big changes under the hood, but it looks the same, which means it has a larger aspect ratio compared to the Pixel Fold. Samsung's fifth-generation foldable model is said to feature a new design.
According to Smartprix renders, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a new hinge, similar to the Flip 5, which reduces the appearance of the edges. You can expect a high IP rating for dust and water resistance.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be very similar to the Fold 4. This means that it could have the same 6.2-inch foldable display and the same 7.6-inch foldable display, both of which support a 120Hz refresh rate. Like the Flip 5, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It could have the same 4,400mAh battery as the Fold 4 and a triple rear camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts at $1,800, and the Fold 5 probably won't drop below that. For context, the Pixel Fold costs the same.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series
Samsung has backed the Classic Watch 5 for the Pro variant, and according to MySmartPrice we find the difference known for its rotating physical bezels. I don't think Samsung has given up on the Pro variant, but it plans to release it every two years, at least for now.
According to the leaked images, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will feature the physical rotating bezel which was sorely lacking on the Watch 5 series. I prefer the physical rotating bezel because it feels like a more interesting way to interact with the small screen I have. Game. The standard Watch 6 is generally similar to the Watch 5 and offers software support for Ring communication.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series is said to have a larger 1.47-inch screen. According to Sam Mobile, the Micro LED panel, which will be an update to the Galaxy Watch 5 series of Super AMOLED displays, could be with a sapphire crystal coating on top. For those who don't know, small LED panels offer higher brightness, better contrast control, and more efficient battery consumption.
The new Samsung smartwatches are said to be 10% more productive than their predecessors. The Watch Series 5 performed flawlessly in daily use and I see no reason to doubt the watch's performance. All models can carry a large capacity battery.
Samsung has switched to Google Wear OS with Tizen OS on the Galaxy Watch 4. The third generation of Wear OS on the Watch 6 is expected to offer a wide range of features. The Galaxy Watch 5 started at $279 and I expect the Watch 6 to be around the same price.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series
Last year, Samsung introduced the new Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to the company's flagship tablet lineup. We may get an updated Tab S9 Ultra this year. It is said to have a massive 14.6 inch screen. The Tab S9 and S9 Plus are expected to feature 11-inch and 12.4-inch OLED displays, respectively.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series is powered by the aforementioned flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is said to come with 16GB of RAM for those looking for an Android tablet with that much storage.
Since Samsung announced a lot of new products, I took a look at the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The large screen protector finally makes the cover a worthwhile purchase. And with Qualcomm's best 2023 processor, I'd expect it to easily last a full day, which the Flip 4 didn't do. On the year I'll be giving you a hands-on review on July 26th, so stay tuned.
