Redmi Note 13 Pro+ First Impressions: A Performance Beast

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ First Impressions: A Performance Beast

For a long time, Redmi phones were considered the leader in the mid-range smartphone market. However, the prices of Redmi phones have increased over the years. The latest Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is no different. In fact, it looks like a mid-range phone, but it comes with features that put it in a completely different category. I received the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and here are my first impressions.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ price in India starts at Rs 29,999.

Design and aesthetics

The design of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is very different from any other phone in the series, especially the leather version I tested. Although it is prone to getting dirty, thanks to the IP68 rating I can use it underwater and the phone will return to its glory days.

The Fusion Purple variant of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is more interesting compared to the Fusion Black. Also, the leather back panel has brought back confidence in using this phone without a case. However, artificial leather fades over time. Time will tell.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is also the first in the series to feature a curved display that takes the look of the device to a new level with thin bezels on all sides, and I also thank Xiaomi for finally getting it going. . . screen. Fingerprint sensor instead of side.

productivity

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, like its predecessors, offers better performance. Because of its price, it might not be the most powerful smartphone money can buy. However, the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is an excellent chip that can easily handle most everyday tasks and even heavy games. The phone offers MIUI 14, although it is based on the older Android 13 operating system, and it is confirmed that the phone will receive the HyperOS update in the coming days.

Camera

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has a 200MP sensor with optical stabilization that takes great photos in almost any lighting condition. There's also an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Although it doesn't have a dedicated telephoto lens, the main sensor takes 2x lossless photos, and even images taken at 4x (digital) zoom look sharp, especially in daylight. Wait for my review to take a closer look at the phone's camera.

battery

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ packs a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support that can fully charge the phone in less than 25 minutes. This is one of the fastest mobiles I have ever used. I'm still evaluating the phone's battery life and will report on that in my full review.

Initial impressions

The specifications and price of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ clearly show that the company is targeting users who do not want a practical phone, but a device with very special features that are mostly found in high-end variants. Smartphones worth more than 50,000 rubles. Stay tuned for a detailed Redmi Note 13 Pro+ review in the coming days that will help you decide if the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is right for you.
