Joel Mull was born Aquarius in 1975 in Stockholm. After receiving his first composition at the age of six, Joel began his long and successful musical career with piano lessons. Between the ages of ten and sixteen, Joel attended a music school in Stockholm, where he spent most of his time playing the keyboard and singing in various genres. Joel came to electronic music by way of Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Like many of today's dance music greats, his early music studies gave him a solid foundation from which he could continue to build. In 1991, at an outdoor rave party in Stockholm, Joel discovered a style of music he had never heard before. Because of his discovery of techno, he discovered his passion. Soon, Joel began buying mostly house and techno music from record stores in Stockholm. However, Adam meets Bear at school, where he teaches Joel on his lunch break how to mix and play records using a pair of Technic 1210s he has at home. In 1993, Joel purchased his own Insonic sampler and DJ equipment and has since confidently entered the world of electronic music. In 1995, Joel was inspired to pursue a full-time DJ career. Since then he has continued his musical journey with a diverse career and impressive label releases. After many releases on different labels around the world, Joel felt it was time to take control of his music again and in 1998 a new project was born - "Inside Records". Since then, a steady stream of quality 12-inch dancefloor techno releases have poured out of the Stockholm studio. Working with Adam Brewer on two "safety sessions", they received an overwhelming response to their release. A modern musician with a rare education and a good ear, Joel took the path of electronic music. As a DJ and performer, Joel has performed around the world. He has become an artist to watch and follow. Joel Mull is a great example of a successful modern techno artist.
