IPhone 15 Said To Beat Samsung Galaxy S24 In One Key Area

A few days before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24, it seems that almost everything about Samsung's flagship has been revealed, but there is something missing in terms of features compared to the iPhone 15 Pro.

While the standard Galaxy S24 comes with 25W wired charging, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Ultra feature 45W wired charging. All three models are expected to support 15W wireless charging. However, no leaks so far claim or predict that the Galaxy S24 will support next-generation Qi2 wireless charging. This is unusual because even though Samsung has overtaken Apple in wireless charging support, the iPhone 15 has Qi2 while the Samsung Galaxy S24 does not.

Qi2, also known as “Chee two”, is the next generation Qi wireless charging standard. Qi is everywhere, and the Qi2 promises to make it even better by offering fast and efficient charging using precision magnetic connectors. In many ways, it's similar to Apple's proprietary MagSafe, which may explain why Apple has it and Samsung doesn't: it's easier to get MagSafe to work with Qi2 on the iPhone 15 than to add it to a phone that doesn't. . .

There's no doubt that Qi2 will lead to the best Android phones, and Samsung promises to support the standard with many tech companies. But if the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S24 are anything to go by, it seems that the relatively recent arrival of the benchmark (it won't go on sale until the end of 2024) suggests that Samsung is delaying its inclusion in the S24 lineup. - of course, until the phones go into mass production long before the official launch, not to mention the launch date.

Looking at the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S24's specs, the lack of Qi2 isn't a big deal, and the current wireless charging is pretty good. But we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S25 to be even better next year, when Qi2 should be well established and there should be tons of devices supporting it.
