Everything Announced At Minecraft Live 2023
These are the most notable expectations for Minecraft Live 2023, which launches on Sunday.
Minecraft Live took place this weekend and provided an exciting preview of what fans can expect in the coming months. Mojang is approaching its historic 15th anniversary and much is expected of its flagship Minecraft title and beyond. Here's everything you may have missed during Sunday's presentation.
The next big Minecraft Legends update
Minecraft Legends just released a big update in August, but it's already moving on to the next one. Mojang promises a new frog mount to help you navigate areas of water and swamps, as well as new allies in the form of witches. Witches can use their magic to help heal their allies or use passive magic against Piglin.
The Piglins will also benefit from new reinforcements in the form of Clangers. It's as annoying as it is dangerous, but don't let it distract you too much or you risk losing sight of the new structure. The Air Chopper will use a giant propeller to literally blow up structures.
Also, don't forget that you can now pet all the animals. Let's not forget what is really important.
There is no release date for the second Minecraft Legends update, but it will be ready in the coming months.
Minecraft will have a new Star Wars campaign
Minecraft fans who love Star Wars will also want to wait for Mojang's next DLC. While Star Wars content has already arrived in Minecraft, this latest installment is a complete story of the Clone Wars era.
The Star Wars: Path of the Jedi DLC will explore an unknown planet alongside some of the most iconic names of the First Age, including Yoda, Mace Windu, Ahsoka Tano, and more.
Look for Star Wars: Path of the Jedi on the Minecraft Marketplace on Tuesday, November 7 . No pricing details were provided.
Minecraft x Planet Earth
Minecraft Education has helped teachers around the world. The latest DLC for Minecraft Education (as well as Minecraft Core later) will allow players to explore the documentary world of Planet Earth III from BBB Studios. Expect to find familiar images taken directly from the popular BBC documentary series, as well as some of the series' key characters.
The Planet Earth III DLC will arrive from Minecraft Education in 2024.
Minecraft 1.21 Update
The main event, as you can imagine, is the last major Minecraft update. There's no fancy name this time around, but that doesn't mean Mojang doesn't have some big features planned.
The largest is the Hall of Judgment, which is aimed specifically at experienced Minecraft players. Procedurally generated corridors will take players to different areas full of treasures and challenges. Sometimes it is dangerous to go alone, so it is possible to face the courtroom with friends. However, Creation Maker will take additional party members into account and adjust enemy groups accordingly.
Exciting new components were on display at the courtroom demonstration, including new decorative blocks and brass blocks. Copper bulbs can illuminate dark rooms, but can be turned on and off with redstone. Outside of Judgment Chambers, players can use the new Crafter tool to automate the crafting process with Redstone, creating a crafting cycle that lasts indefinitely.
The biggest news is the new crowd. Winds are basically tornado creatures that jump and resist strong winds. Even if the wind does not cause direct damage, it can ignite certain blocks and cause damage. The armadillo also won this year's public vote and will live in the savannah biome.
That's all they announced at the Minecraft Live presentation on Sunday. Mojang hopes to add more to its Minecraft line next year, bringing 15 years of block-building enthusiasm to life. We'll keep track of everything the team has planned and report on the highlights here at Shacknews. To see anything we missed, visit the Minecraft website.
