Redmi Note 13 Pro+ Packs A Boosted Dimensity 7200 Chip And A 200 Million Pixels Camera

This year marks Redmi's tenth anniversary. They planned a surprise for the September event, but no specific date was given (just "this month"). The Chinese brand will present the Redmi Note 13 series and is currently focusing on the most affordable model, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. It will have a Dimensity 7200 Turbo chip and a 200 MP camera sensor. They posted some impressive specifications of the Note 13 Pro+ on Weibo (via GSMArena). Without going into too much detail, the information reveals a few key features: chip and camera. However, they were quite generous in their words, calling the upcoming event a "King Kong Experience."

Thus, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ would contain a beefed-up version of MediaTek's Dimension 7200, adding another word to its name, the "Ultra" tag. The original 4nm Dimension 7200 was launched in mid-February 2023 and featured 8 Cortex CPU cores (Cortex A715 at 2×2.8 GHz and Cortex A510 at 6×2.0 GHz), Mali G610 MCDR4 RPU, LPD, etc.

Another strong point of the Note 13 Pro+ is the camera sensor. They included a special version of the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor called “Discovery Edition”. Samsung's 200MP ISOCELL HP3 is also available on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, so it's not exactly revolutionary. Naturally, better images are expected from the new Redmi Note Pro+ than from the previous version, and this will likely be achieved by equipping the custom HP3 Discovery Edition sensor with the updated Dimension 7200 Ultra chip.

The photography algorithm is self-developed by Xiaomi. Imaging Brain technology, which will bring a more powerful computing experience to Note 13 Pro+. It will be interesting to see if this technology will also be available on other Note 13 series devices or if it will be exclusive to the Pro+ model.
