Oppos Find N3 Flip Fashion Phone Is Ready For Its Closeup

Oppo's latest foldable phone is the Oppo Find N3 Flip, a 6,799 yuan (about $932) foldable device that will be available first in China but will soon be available in the rest of the world. The Find N3 Flip goes up against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Motorola Razr, and while both phones tried to launch with larger front screens, the N3 Flip's front display is essentially the same as last year. However, Oppo complements this with a fairly extensive spec sheet.

It's a full-size phone with a 6.8-inch, 2520 x 1080 pixels, 120Hz OLED display. Everything is folded in half to make a small square 16.45mm thick. When closed, you can look around on the tiny 3.26-inch front screen. The beauty of this design is that the 720 x 382 pixels 60Hz OLED display looks like a mini phone and you have proprietary mini apps to play with. b. Media player and notification. Check out, a weather app, a fitness app, and a few others. The front display isn't as big as Oppo's competitors, but it has a large circular camera with three sensors, a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens. 2x from 32 MP.

The SoC is Mediatek Dimensity 9200, which means it has a 4nm SoC with a 3.05GHz Cortex arm. It also has 12GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB UV 4.0 storage, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7 and NFC support.

The biggest downside of these foldables is of course the battery and you get a 4,300mAh battery with 44W of power. 5 and Razr 3800 mAh) is excellent. All these details are really great. Sometimes flip phones come with average components but look like flagships.

With the N3 Flip, Oppo's marketing department is capitalizing on the "phones as fashion accessory" theory. Almost every image on the marketing page shows an attractive person on a cruise, at a wedding, or talking on the phone in an art gallery. Oppo has collaborated with several fashion companies to create bags that all look like designer bags and some even have straps.

The "fashion" aspect is important here, because there's no serious benefit to using these new-age flip phones if you're trying to get things done. When it's revealed, it works just like a regular phone, but you've spent a lot of money on a foldable screen and you've got questionable durability and a significant loss of battery life due to the folding. You better think this phone looks great, because it's the only flip phone they have to offer. If you like the look, it's perfect! But otherwise a normal phone is very convenient.

The design of the N3 Flip is a little different this year because the top half has a rounded glass back, unlike last year's flat design. The edges are polished to a high gloss and the camera notch is surrounded by attractive notches. Oppo has adopted the three-level mute switch from the flagship OnePlus. It comes in pink, very attractive gold and black pearl.

If you're ready to hit the track, pre-orders are now live in China and the phone will ship in September. The N2 Flip has been widely released, so the rest of the world will finally get it.
