Will They Or Wont They? The Clichéd Dance Of Two Tech Titans

Will they or not? I'm not talking about the corny rom-com duo's dance, clash of techno leviathans, but the infamous smoke fight (or lack thereof) of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.

X nor Twitter owner Musk has found himself in a digital battle with CEO Meta Zuckerberg over Twitter's twin brother, Threads. The crackdown comes more than two months after an internal leak surfaced during a meeting where Meta's product chief called the "smart management" option.

In the latest Silicon Valley saga, Musk then shared a screenshot of a message between himself and Zuckerberg, showing the meta boss visibly distressed over Musk's public snub.

“If you still want real MMA fighting, train and let me know when you're ready to fight,” Zuckerberg wrote. "I don't want to announce something that's never going to happen, so you have to do it and decide if you're going to do it soon or we have to move forward."

In typical Musk fashion, Lex Friedman, the famed tech podcaster, responded that he's not used to much, but that he's in full control of Zuckerberg in Palo Alto's Octagon Backyard on Monday.

Musk said he would test Tesla's fully autonomous driving feature by going to Zuckerberg's address, saying it would arrive at his house whether he wanted to or not. Oh, and of course he'll be streaming it all live on X. Obviously neither of them were in town that day, Platformer mentioned in the ad, continuing the irony of the whole charade.

The expected view at sunrise on Tuesday was spectacular. Earlier, Zuckerberg spoke to the thread and advised everyone to take Musk's words with a grain of salt, which was only reinforced by Musk's comments on Monday.

Speaking of the meta and Twitter, I've had a lot of questions lately about whether or not this battle is going to happen. My answer is again this: while his courage to try is admirable, I very much doubt it. Though Zuckerberg is well trained, Musk's motivation seems to be more in using the show to drive traffic and headlines than any real affinity for mixed martial arts.

It is clear to even the most casual observer of this technological tango what the public figure of Zuckerberg is doing. It's Cambridge Analytica's fault that Zuckerberg was labeled a Silicon Valley criminal after Facebook discovered it had misused the personal data of millions of users. So Zuck poured billions of dollars into his version of the "metauniverse" just to counter comments that he was walking around with no legs (and lowered the company's market cap).

Now Zuckerberg is taking on Musk, perhaps one of the Valley's most famous entrepreneurs, who doesn't hesitate to fuel dangerous conspiracy theories and regularly confronts far-right accounts that share content primarily promoting anti-Black racism and pseudoscientific ideas. About breed. . Many online viewers were hoping to see Musk get some ass kicked, and Zuckerberg's eagerness to move forward seems to have earned his support.

Again, I find it highly unlikely that any of this actually happened. When the stars line up and put on this stage show, rest assured, my producers and I will have front row seats to popcorn.

This is what is happening today in the field of technology.
