The Oppo Find N3 Flip Could Be Here Really Soon
Undoubtedly, the most popular at the moment is the foldable phone. Over the past few weeks and months, we've seen an almost constant stream of new devices hitting the market from both established brands and new players.
Now, another cool device has arrived, and it might be coming sooner than we think. Oppo Find N3 Flip is the long awaited flip phone. Its predecessor, the Oppo Find N2 Flip, was quite a revolutionary device. At the time of release, it had the largest screen coverage of any flip phone, although that margin has now gone to the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
According to tech tipster Max Jambor, the device's launch date is set for August 29. If this date means anything to you, it's probably because the OnePlus Open launch will be announced on the same day, even if it's now delayed.
If this turns out to be true, in less than two weeks we will know what the device has in store for us. Rumors have already circulated quite consistently, giving an idea of what the device might look like.
The N3 Flip's camera in particular looks set to get a major upgrade. According to recently leaked images, the device will use a round rear camera module that sits next to the vertical display cover.
This module has three different sensors. And although no source has confirmed what these sensors are, it is quite possible that it is a telephoto lens . If so, it will immediately become one of the most impressive cameras on any flip phone.
In today's market, most of these devices have to sacrifice to fit the case size. Often this includes cameras. Even big hits like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 disappoint a bit by adding a 12-megapixel unit for wide- and ultra-wide-angle work, without telephoto lenses.
We've also heard that the Find N3 will have a vertical display. This was a unique selling point of the current model, and it's good to see the brand stick with it this time around. While the implementation on the N2 Flip is a little lacking, the premise is solid: the cover screen almost exactly mirrors the size of the open internal screen.
Either way, we should know for sure in less than two weeks. Stay tuned for more details as they get closer – this could be the best flip phone yet.
