- A Samsung support representative has announced that the One UI 6.0 beta program will start on August 2 for the Galaxy S23.
- The Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 could be the next devices to get the beta.
- The Galaxy S23 beta program was scheduled to launch in July.
Google today released the Android 14 4.1 beta version, which is currently in the stable phase. While the beta is currently only available for the Pixel, Galaxy S23 series users will soon be able to get the OS release from Samsung.
According to SamMobile, a Samsung support rep in Germany appears to have confirmed that the One UI 6.0 beta program will start on August 2 for the Galaxy S23 series. If you're not familiar with One UI, it's Samsung's take on Google's Android platform. Apart from this news, this beta program is also said to be released on August 9 on Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54.
It's a bit surprising that the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 are second in line to get the beta. Samsung usually releases betas for its flagships before releasing its mid-range devices. However, we are sure that Galaxy S22 and S21 will not be far behind.
Android 14 started its stable phase in June. Preparations for One UI 6.0 also started last month, when Samsung started updating apps compatible with One UI 6.0. Samsung was supposed to release One UI 6.0 beta in the third week of July. But he clearly misses that day. Luckily, it looks like the delay won't be around for long.
While slow, this change was rapid compared to other distributions. However, the company said in December that it wants future releases to be faster than the launch of One UI 5.
