‘Technoblade Never Dies: Former UI Student And YouTuber Remembered After Death
In Minecraft, pigs are animals that players can kill to get resources such as meat to eat. The skin of Minecraft Technoblade, which is his in-game avatar, looks like a Minecraft pig.
After Technoblade's death, Baum decided not to kill pigs in Minecraft in his honor as there are other animals that provide the same or similar resources.

Baum also created a Minecraft Technoblade statue in his memory, combining cubes from the hit game to digitally recreate the Minecraft YouTuber's skin. The statue sat in Baum's butler, so no one could see it without an invitation. Other fans adore Technoblade in different ways.
Amelia Dooley, a UI graduate student in criminology, first noticed on Reddit that Technoblade had previously attended UI, as had many other enthusiasts.
Dooley and his friend set out to recreate a famous photo outside the Old Capitol, wearing the trademark Technoblade and a staffed Technoblade. Technoblade produced merchandise early in its career and one of the items released was a stuffed pig with a crown and cape.
"I think it's going to make a lot of people on the Internet happy," Dooley said
Dooley says they've been watching TechnoBlade videos for the past six years, and it means a lot to them to know it's all about the user interface.
In a TechnoBlade video, the Minecraft YouTuber mentions taking a public speaking class, a common educational requirement for UI students. Dooley says that after studying Technoblade they took the same course at the same institution, getting inspired and motivated.
After learning that Technoblade was using the UI, Dooley also said he was able to watch videos where Technoblade recounted his college experiences in new ways.
"It changed the way I looked at it and a lot of its content, and then it changed the way I looked at school," Dooley said.
After posting a photo in front of the Old Capitol building on Reddit, Dooley received over a thousand upvotes and numerous responses showing tremendous support and appreciation from Technoblade fans.
On April 17, nearly four months after his original post, Dooley took to Twitter to invite fans from all over Iowa City to a major photo re-enactment of TechnoBlade's first day of college.
Dooley invites fans to gather in front of the Old Capitol on May 7th at 2pm to wear Technoblade merchandise whenever possible. Many fans responded to the tweet and said in similar posts on Reddit that they would be there.
While Mr. Technodad did not comment on whether he would be attending, he did comment on Dooley's original post:
"It warmed my heart," said Teknodad. "I just made a pilgrimage to that place."
Besides being active on Reddit, Mr. Technodad engages Technoblade fans in a different way. He hosts a charity live stream with YouTuber Dream Minecraft and discusses other streamers including Scappy, Wilbur Suit and TommyInIt.
Wilbur Sutt and Tommyin faithfully publish "The Quote Book" at Technoblade. Mr. Technodad said that seeing his dedication helped him realize how important his son was to other streamers and the gaming community.
TechnoBlade's impact on the UI community and beyond can be seen both in the global response to the Internet and in the students who walk the UI campus every day.
From commemorating his name in books to events held in Technoblade's honor, the YouTuber's motto, "Technoblade never dies," applies beyond his immediate life.
"The name Technoblade will stick because of who he is, how he affects people and how he continues to affect people," Dooley said. "More than six months have passed since his death and I still talk about him."
