Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 And Flip 5 Prices And Specs Mightve Just Leaked

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 foldable phones earlier than usual this year. If the rumors are true, the phone will go on sale at the end of July and will go on sale within a few weeks. This could be Samsung's answer to the threat from the Google Pixel Fold, a phone set to launch at I/O 2023 in a few weeks. With this in mind, it's no surprise that the specifications and prices of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 were leaked at the end of April.
Usually Galaxy flagships are leaked long before the announcement of Samsung Unpacked. Still, there's a lot to like about these Fold 5 and Flip 5 leaks, especially if you're a fan of Samsung's foldable devices.

TheGalox_liquor posted the information on Twitter and we'll take a look at what they say are the full specs of both phones.
The Fold 5 will have a familiar design with a 7.6-inch foldable display and a 6.2-inch external display. Both are 120Hz AMOLED displays that are said to be brighter than their predecessors. The outer screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the foldable display is said to be more durable than before.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 may have more design improvements due to this leak. We are considering a new hinge design that will reduce the size of the gap between the screens. Also, the phone has less visible creases. The phone is said to be IPX8 water resistant and insiders claim that the Fold 5 is thinner and lighter than before.
As expected, the Galaxy Fold 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the same chip that Samsung used for the Galaxy S23 series. Other specs include 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
On the front of the camera we see a triple lens setup with 50, 12 and 10 megapixel lenses on the back. The camera should offer high-quality video recording up to 8K 30 fps. Although not mentioned in the leaks, the camera under the display will also be improved.
Finally, insiders note improvements to the vibration motor, speakers, and S Pen support in this Galaxy Z Fold 5 specification leak.
All of this will make the Fold 5 more expensive, as Samsung is expected to continue asking $1,799 for the cheapest option.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is an alternative for $999. The same insider also revealed the technical specifications of the phone.
The leaked specifications of the Flip 5 are identical to the Fold 5. The only difference is the size and capacity of Samsung's RAM and storage. This phone has a 6.7-inch 120Hz flip display and a 3.4-inch external display. The latter is a major upgrade for the Fold 4's external display.
In terms of memory and storage, the Flip 5 is said to come with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and two UFS 4.0 storage variants of 256GB and 512GB, which aren't quite as fast as UFS 4.0.
As always, nothing official yet. But most of the rumors about the Galaxy are true, so the above information is more likely to come true.
